Medium voltage 11 kV underground cable with stranded copper conductors, XLPE insulation, copper tape screen and steel tape armour.
This 11 kV three-core cable is used to transmit and distribute power in networks up to 35 kV, serving utilities, construction sites, mines, metallurgy and petrochemical plants. It is built with a Class 2 stranded plain copper conductor to BS EN 60228, semi-conducting conductor and insulation screens, XLPE type GP8 insulation, individual and overall copper tape screens to BS 6622 and steel tape armour under a PVC sheath. Common sizes include 120 mm2, 185 mm2 and 240 mm2, shipped on export drums.
